Behaviour/development

DD, 20 months, gave her first proper answer to a question today...

So far she has only given one word answers to questions. Today I was explaining to her that I had a baby in my tummy. She seemed pretty interested. At the end of the explanation I asked her what was in Mummy's tummy and she answered "baby". So far so normal.

Then DH came in. So I say "DD, tell Daddy what is in Mummy's tummy". And DD replies "Farts, poo and wee. Yuk, yuk, yuk".

Thanks DD. Great first sentance .

Now there is a story she will be being told for ever

My DD's first sentences were/are more like concatenations of orders.

"Mummy, Blue Shoes, Baas" (translation: Mummy put my wellies on so that I can go and see the sheep. NOW)

I have written it down on a little list I keep of her development. Hopefully DH can incorporate it into a embarrassing wedding speech one day .

Shameful bump because I am bored and want to share DD's genius with more people .
