DD is booked to have hers at 9:15am and granny is coming over for the morning and lunch from 10:30am. What are the chances that DD will be feeling poorly? Will neurofen completely sort it or will she need mummy.

mine both had single vaxes but I think, from what I recall other mums saying, that a reaction is more likely to be 2 - 3 days afterwards.

oh really - how brilliant! I was under the impression that she would have a roaring temperature.

DD had a temperature and was a bit off colour for one day, 5 days after her MMR, but that could also have been teething or something else not connected to the jabs.

My youngest DS had a really bad reaction to the MMR after 4 weeks - like the flu (course it could have been the flu but I think it was the jab). He had a fever and was very grumpy and clingy for a few days. His leg had a bad reaction to the Hib jab they have at the same time too - he's a sensitive little thing. But he was completely fine after a couple of days and I'm really glad he's immunised - there's loads of measles around in Lewisham....

My eldest who is now 3 had no reaction to either the original MMR or his preschool booster. So it depends on the child I think....you might be lucky!

Mine was fine till about day 3 then was a bit out of sorts - fever, grumpy - but very happy to see Granny! Poorliness lasted a week.

neither of my older ones had any reaction really (youngest too young for it atm)

I was told that a (mild) reaction is GOOD, it shows that the vaccine has worked properly.
