Went on holiday last week and dd caught gastroenteritis. Could only stomach breastmilk after bringing even water back up for 12hrs. She has started eating solids again since yesterday but is still breastfeeding lots and demanding sleep after a couple of hours awake. She has just cut her first tooth aswell.

Is it normal for her to be so tired? She's usually very independent and won't cuddle but is clinging to me most of the day.

Very normal indeed, keep up liquids.
I was advised by the doctor to offer dry toast and simple rice to make them feel better. Horrible bug that is.

Poor darling. Totally normal though, ds also poorly and I've been developing sofa sores just sitting and cuddling him while he sleeps all day.

(as an aside, you have clearly started a trend as a friend of mine has called her new dd M.B!)

Yes, I'd say so. My children can take weeks to recover from things like that.

yes my dd is finally getting over this. we had 1 whole week of sicking and diarheoa and then she spent the past 2 days not keeping down liquids properly and just drifting in and out of sleep. very pleased to say she is feeling much better today, nt 100% at all but she is eating as we speak and hasnt been sick at all today. we saw the emrgency doc as so worried and he said small sips of liquid to hep her kep it down. then as she improves toast and plain foods such as rice, slowly building up to her normal foods.
hope your lo is better soon
