My DS grabs his tackle

when his nappy is taken off. Not so worried, but what happens if he turns into one of those boys/men who have to hold it all the time? Some friends of mine know a child (5 years) who holds his family jewels and sucks his thumb - ANYWHERE. How do you stop this from happening?

They do. Its true. All of them. Virtually all the time. Nothing you can do.

When they are older you can encourage an idea of things you do at home and things ok for public.

But even then, as you say, some men do it too, so meh.

my dd grabs her lady-bits and has a good rummage during nappy changes. I blame gangsta rap culture and am alerting the daily mail.

was at a sports relief thing yesterday and looked across the line of kids, there were about 16 kids there, 9 of whom were boys, 6 of those standing playing with their willies, one of whom had boths hands down the front of his trousers having a right good rummage

is there a code of something to say 'give it a grab NOW'? am a mother of 2 girls don't know

so I have to resign myself to it, well I suppose I ignored his fathers eating habits to the point where I no longer notice the shovelling, so I suppose I will have to ignore this...

DS1 sleeps with one arm round his teddy and the other hand down his PJ bottoms.

DS2 discovered his the other day too.

We need never buy them toys again.

Ds pulls his now & then or has a rummage but not alot.

DD has a nice rummage around when i am changing her nappy or any chance she gets & has a good giggle.

They all do it don't worry

Ok, no he wasn't, he was about 4.

Tis normal, but Idon't know any men who hold it all the time, where do they hang out apart from strip joints?

Same here. DS constantly does it when I'm changing his nappy. DP seems much more uncomfortable about it than me - I am really only bothered when he's got a soiled nappy and then the hands go down there and get poo on them...yuck!

Well I don't think its unhealty - just a bit offputting. Its just that I don't know what to ignore, and what to stop. I don't think I can live with pee all over the lav and the bog seat permanently up, but presumably this is a fight that women have been losing since time began.

Oh dear. What he's doing is normal and natural. It's just another body part, and one he can't normally access with a nappy on.

Ignore most of it, only distract him if he draws a crowd.

And install a urinal

And my GOD can't they bloody stretch it! that really looks like it should hurt.

What's with that pinching the very tip, squeeeeezing and pulling thing they do? Try that on an adult and he won't thank you. That's a mistake I won't be making a fourth time.

Oh it's to be postively encouraged. Otherwise he'll have sexual hangups as an adult leading to unfulfilled relationships, an obsession with porn and nocturnal forays into the red light district.

And you wouldn't want to be responsible for that now, would you?

the joys of parenthood. DS is always trying to grab his the minute the nappy tags are loosened and he has been since he was about 3months old! DH just says "that's my boy"

...well there's generally ONE "creepy guy who stands by the water cooler and plays with his balls a lot" in every major company but there's no reason to think he may be yours...
