8 year old DS is driving me mad. he is rude, cheeky, argumentative and downright disobedient.
if you give him privileges, he abuses them.
if you give him more responsibility, he cocks it up/shows he can't be trusted.
if you give him treats/extra attention, he always manages to make it into a bad thing.
he can be lovely. he is usually lovely. he is 8. he is not perfect. he has phases of being a toad and then is normal again.
i have been patient, but yesterday had a very firm word and told him he was out of order and needed to sort himself out pronto.
he looked suitably ashamed.
but is no better.
but this phase is going on long enough thank you...
