Hi all my little one is 17 months and he is into everything snd anything. Walking climbing you name it he is doing it.
But how do you get him to listen to the word no?

At the moment he likes to touch things but not everything is safe for him to touch. Ie trying to climb on top of the tv cabinet. Turning the tv on and off etc. We've tried the no in a firm tone , uh uh sound. The no touch sentence , come away. Whilst gently leading away from the item. I've tried distracting with sounds, toys , the fun ohh come and see , but nothing works.
I'm pulling my hair out as I'm constantly off my seat trying to stop him touching things.
Help!!!
Any advice appreciated.

At 17 months I'd use a gin tone and if he didn't listen ouch him up, carry him out of the room and put him in another room for a minute.

@JiltedJohnsJulie I'm. It sure what a gin tone is but if it's a gin and tonic yes please. !
I take him away , even if it's in another room he goes for something else he can try snd touch. ( I've cleared just about everything possible from his height thst I can but he is a stubborn and energetic litttle man. )
