Does my 11 mo drink enough?

DD has 2 bottles of milk per day, and is given a beaker with water to drink throughout the day and at lunchtimes. She refuses to drink milk from anything but a bottle. She will take sips of water regularly, but I estimate that I can only get her to take about half a beaker max over the course of a day. If I try to persuade her to drink more, she gets annoyed and bats the cup away. She is healthy. Is this enough liquid?

Also, I would like to get her down to 1 bottle a day with a view to phasing them out altogether. But that means she will only be having about 200mls of milk a day. Is that enough?

Any advice or tips gratefully received. TIA

It doesn't sound like much fluid, but it also depends on how much and what types of food she is eating. There are lots of fluid in fruit, yoghurt and veg. Are you getting lots of wet nappies and are her poos soft (not like pellets). If yes she's fine, if no I would suggest giving slightly flavoured water using fresh fruit juice. (just a splash to taste.) Alternatively you could try making a smoothie and water that down.

Tori, thank you for this. Will try giving her some juice at mealtimes to see if she will take a bit more.

Anyone else?

I think 2 bottles of milk at this atge is fine.
My 13 month dd has 6 ozs when she wakes up, another 6 ozs mid afternon and about 9 ozs before bed.
I am in no hurry to phase out bottles as I think she is so little still and sucking is a comfort for them. I think ds had a bottle until he was about 2.

depending on what she eats too, it's my understanding that babies that age should drink about a pint of fluids a day
