Night toilet training, too early?

DD1 is turning 4 next week. Is it too early for night toilet training? Am I not aware of what is actually needed in terms of her development?...

Anyways I tell my story. We've always used Pampers diapers. Pants as soon as it was available. And I never really tried other brand because it worked so well!!! DD1 got toilet trained but still wearing diaper for sleeping. I saw some nice ones at the supermarket that allow the child to feel wetness and have nice drawings. She really likes the drawings!! But this diaper leaks!!! Envy I am right now trying another brand. Let's see how it goes.

Thing is: if I need to change her clothes and bedsheets in the middle of the night,
I might as well spare the environment and just let her wear underwear. I got some bed pads. Still less waste than empty diapers most nights.

Ladies with experience with night toilet training: am I being unreasonable? Shall I just go back to the Pampers or dive into toilet training? Does toilet training include her going to the bathroom by herself in the middle of the night? Any tips on that?

Thanks!

My DD1 decided to be dry at night around her 3rd birthday. Boys can take longer but 4 is definitely not too young to see if she can do it. Some kids need night nappies to until later though so just see how it goes

DD1 has had mostly dry nights from a very young age. 1?? Seriously. But still wets diaper at night maybe once a week or every other week depending on circumstances. If she wakes up during the night or if she refuses to go to the bathroom before bed.

It just makes me anxious taking that leap :p
