quick and probably silly question about baby ages

(12 Posts)
Ettenna Sat 29-Sep-07 16:53:17 you count in lunar months (i.e. 24 weeks is 6 months) or calendar months? I'm confused!

Twiglett Sat 29-Sep-07 16:54:33

calendar if baby

but if you're still counting in months at approaching 2 years (ie 22 / 23 months) then stop because you'll sound like a twat <can't think of the word>

ta! wasn't sure - so used to counting in weeks during pregnancy!

why what?

Twiglett Sat 29-Sep-07 17:01:30

or was that an existential question?

I just think it does

<examines perception>

because they're old enough to count in years and it sounds like the parent is not willing to move on to the next stage and is clinging on to 'oh what an ickle baby month counting' rather than the fact that this toddler is 2

I do know I'm not alone in thinking this if it helps

i went by calender but ds is over 2 now so i jusy say he is 2 dont give months unless someone asks

Twiglett Sat 29-Sep-07 17:06:01

20 months is just about ok

22 months is really nearly 2 but at a stretch ok

24 months / 25 months etc is twatish IMHO
