BO on 9 year old Ds

Ds has just turned 9 and I have noticed he's started to have a bit of BO. ACcording to google, 9 is the earliest. He's been 9 for 3 days so it feels like we scraped in here. Is it really too early and how quickly will the rest of the signs start? He's still so young!

He is very tall for his age and a big boy so I guess not that surprising but still?

It's completely normal for puberty to begin at any point from the ages of 8 to 14 (taken from the NHS website). Get him some of this deodorant and get him to wash with a bar of soap rather than body wash/liquid soap in the bath. All the best x

My ds started having BO around 9. Spoke to him about making sure he washes under arms etc and got him some deodorant. He’s 11 now and hasn’t had any other signs of puberty yet.

My 8 yo DD has BO. It can be pretty strong. We ensure a daily wash and deodorant.

I think this sort of thing ebbs and flows as hormones change but setting good hygiene standards now can’t hurt.
