Hi, LG was 2 in feb and still using limited vocabulary, can say basics - Mam / dad / nan / granda / baby / dog etc, and peppa and George Hmmbut not much more. She's excellent with letters and can identify almost all letters of the alphabet so no concerns about hearing or the inability to speak. I just wondered if anyone has experienced similar and how they overcame this? If anyone has any tips on encouraging little ones to speak please share. We sing and read everyday and always talk about what we're doing / seeing etc.

Hello- I have a much older son who was a very late talker and was not understood by anyone except me.
He had no other warning signs and is an incredibly “ordinary” fabulous young man now.
However I also not have a nearly 2 yr old who is a carbon copy of his brother. Apart from not being bothered to talk much I have no other concerns.
I can’t help but be a bit worried.
Don’t think what I’m saying is much help, except if she’s meeting all the other markers try not to worry .
What did your HV say?
