My DD sleeps well at night touch wood I use white noise and it's blackout curtains, but in the day she doesn't nap for hours and hours (and hours) by this point she is inconsolable as she is so overtired. When she does nap it is rarely longer than for 30 mins at a time. I keep the TV on pretty much mute and am a single mum her my only child so noise is very little. She will fall sometimes asleep in my arms other times not even that and when she does I can't put her down. She is 3 weeks old. It's not an ideal situation for either of us! Any advice greatly appreciated.

At 3 weeks, I'd honestly let her sleep in your arms if she will, either that or both go to your bed for an hour or two.

You could also try changing her, giving her a feed and going out for a walk, if you do it at the same time each day she should come to expect it and hopefully sleep.

Congratulations on your LO too thanks
