6 month old development. Does this sound normal?

He can sit up unaided, if he leans forward he can get back up to sitting unaided, but if he leans backwards or side wards he falls (obviously I'm always with him so he doesn't hurt himself)

He can roll really well on to his front, does it constantly but he can only roll to his right. He can't roll to his left, and he can't roll back into his back, he stays on his tummy and then cries to be rolled back over.

He's been like this for 3 weeks, gets lots of practice and what he can do he does consistently but not made much progress yet with the falling/not rolling back.

Umm yes. My LO is 6 months now (just). Can roll well front to back but not gone the other way yet. Can't sit up unaided without propping herself on at least one hand yet but improving slowly.

My little daughter will be 23 weeks this Wednesday and she is the same. She can only sit without support if she's focussed on the tv though.. any other time she moves too much and so she can't balance yet. Still plenty of time though so I'm not worried. She also only rolls on to her right but can roll to her left too if I give her a push that way.. she also can't roll from tummy to back. so your little one sounds fine to me :) what's your main concern?

He sounds perfect they are all different! My first sat up at 5 months, rolled over at 8 months and crawled at 10 months. My second rolled at 3 months, sat up at 6 months and crawled at 7 months.
My youngest sat up at 5 months, rolled at 6 months and has never crawled, just bum shuffled!

All these are variations of normal, I know perfectly healthy children that didn't even entertain sitting up until 8 months! Milestones are guidelines and children so things in their own time xxx

My nearly 7 month old needs propping up still to sit up. She can roll fine but is so very frustrated she can’t move. She’s rocking on all fours at the moment so seems more interested in doing that than sitting up. They all do things at different paces don’t worry

Hi,
My 7 month has been exactly as you have described like this since 5 month. I bet he is focusing on a different development. I wouldn’t worry. I’m assuming he is developing in all other areas?
We have other concerns a long with this which we are seeing a health visitor about next week.
