Help. I have a 4 year old who started school in sept. We have been called to the school twice now (oct & Jan) over his behavior in class. Punching, kicking, pencil stabbing other children in the class & playground. This is not his behavior at home. I have 6 yr old & 2 year old also. All 3 boys. He is a pet. A loving child. I cannot understand why this is happening. He can give me no insight into it. Shrugs his shoulders. School are giving me no help, no solutions or answers as to why this is happening. They are not impressed & want it to stop. That we (parents) need to stop This ASAP. Where do I even start with this? Why is he doing this? And what I can I do to change this? Any experience with this anyone?? Thank you!!

Have the school been able to tell you what happens right before he behaves like this?

Nope. And you are on the same wave length as me I've asked if there is a trigger that causes this behavior. They tell me no. They also said he wants attention all the time. He isn't starved of it!

It does seem odd that they can't tell you what's happening before. I know the teachers have a lot to deal with but it's almost as if he's not been watched, at all.

Did he show any signs of aggression in groups before joining this class?

No never aggression he's a great little mixer & a really friendly little lad in fact over friendly he'd march over to a group of 10 year olds & introduce himself.
