Paediatric referral for autism - what to expect?

I’m just looking for a bit of advice really as this is all so new to me and I have no-one in real life to discuss with.

We’ve been waiting for a paediatrician appointment since March last year for DS 3. He was referred to SALT for language delay and they’ve queried autism due to not sharing interest with them during their assessments.

The appointment is in a few weeks and I’ve been told it’s 1.5hrs long. Can anyone tell me what it entails? Do you get the results there and then or is it more waiting?

I’m just so anxious about it because we’ve been waiting for so long.
