Hi guys just wanted some advice really.

My DD is turning 6months next week. Well she's been really good ever since she was born sleeping well. Now all of a sudden every single time I put her down when she's fallen asleep she wakes up straight away. Is this sleep regression ? What can the reason be ?

There’s a sleep board where you are more likely to get helpful advice on this, I suggest you post there. I’m afraid I don’t have any advice.

Try reading this:

Basically a baby's sleep cycles change around the 4 month mark (maybe slightly later for your daughter). So instead of your baby sleeping in 2 stages from deep sleep to light (REM) sleep, they now sleep in 5 stages from 2 types of light, to 2 types of deep and back to a light (REM) sleep. It makes it harder to put them to sleep, they start cat napping etc!

My daughter did it at the 4 month mark and I had to change our whole bedtime routine to make sure she went into her cot slightly drowsy (I used white noise to help) rather than trying to transition her into her cot when asleep.
If you want her to fall asleep on you and then transfer her, you just have to wait longer than before (so she's definitely in a deeper sleep)!
