AIBU to replace my dds phone

My dd is a generally a good girl, started secondary school this year and doing really well. As part of her going to school she now catches a bus so we agreed to get her a phone. As mine was coming to the end of the contract I gave it to her when I upgraded, it's an iPhone 6s so not a cheap one. Since she's had it she's absolutely glued to it, I've put limits on it and every day, she goes over them. 3 hrs during the week and between the hours of 7am to 8pm, weekends 5 hrs and 7am to 9pm, most days she'll ask for more screen time.

She had it less that 6 months before she broke the screen, it cost me the best part of £95 to replace it as I also bought her a decent cover. She's been warned to take care of it due to the cost of the repair.

Well you can guess what's happened again, less than 2 months after the repair she's broken it again. Dropped it, but the thing that really bugs me is she swapped the case over to a cheap one she had before. Chances are if she's had the other case on it wouldn't have broken.

AIBU to buy a cheap, house brick type phone which can make calls and texts but no internet. She can have this for a week, her iPhone is useable, just a cracked screen. I'm also thinking she can give me 50% of the cost out of her Christmas and birthday money, or is this too harsh? I'd be less annoyed if she'd kept the case on it that we bought to stop it breaking if dropped

I wouldn't change the phone, but i would ask her to pay for the screen to be repaired. I would also buy a screen protector to prevent it happening again, as if that cracks it can easily just be peeled off and a new one applied
