I have a 12 month old who weights almost 15kg (she was born 9'12). She's really tall and has regular rolls & a bit of a belly, but doesn't look really fat, just older than her age.
She's breastfed on demand (especially at night) and has a really healthy diet and has only ever had homemade food with no sugar or salt.
She's very advanced in terms that she has self fed using a spoon and hands since 5 month. She has perfect hand eye coordination, she has loads of advanced words (she can say get it, I have, tanks ect..) she's also extremely social and loves people and other babies.
But she's super lazy!! She rolled early at 3 months and then stopped (she rolled on to her face while a sleep and got a fright) now she only ever rolls when I change her nappy. She also doesn't crawl, but gets into a crawl position to get things. She can bum shuffle, but only when she's in the mood.
But she hasn't started cruising yet or standing and is nowhere near walking.
She's mad to get walking but is still not up, but loves practicing.
We got her checked by OT and she's perfect but het pelvis is still a little unstable so with exercise she should find it easier to roll and sit her self up easier (she basically said she's happy and will take her time)
But my phn had always said she's too big and insisted I was feeding her sugar (I was devastated) she also told me she doesn't need to be breastfeeding after 6 months and to give her water (a different phn said she's thriving and very advanced) phn tried to refer her to peads but they refused saying she sounds fine and obviously genetics, but she contacted my baby's doctor and now my doctor wants to refer her to peads to get her bloods and thyroid checked and I'm really worried...has anyone any information or advice that might help me please!!
