How much understanding should a nearly 4 year old have

Hi, my daughter is nearly 4, and im worried about her understanding, we've been to see a speech therapist for an initial assessment back in march, and she diagnosed her with a language delay, with her understanding in certain areas age appropriate, and just emerging in others. she didn't express any concerns about autism, but everyone always links speech and language delays with autism. She is incredibly out going has wide range of friends at nursery, she finds it easy to make friends when we go to the park but can sometime scare them off cos she's so excited and enthusiastic, doesn't have any issues with routines, or any sensory issues, its just baffling, im constantly talking to help her speech come on and it has improved a lot, but im just worried about the understanding. If I ask her what she did at nursery she can tell me, i.e who she's played with, what she'd done, what she ate at snack time, but some things just seem off, like if I asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up, or why do people go to the doctors she wouldn't have a clue she just says umm umm I don't know. Messing around the other day I said to her tell your brother off and she said Noah tell you off. Its like with some things she just hasn't got a clue. She got her next speech appointment in august.

Not every speech or language delay is linked with autism, sometimes a speech or a language delay can occur in isolation, sometimes it can be a sign of moderate learning difficulties. Does nursery give you EYFS assessments? how is she doing in other areas?

Is she going to school soon as they will probably assess or it may become clearer any issues.

Hi, nursery have just said that they are worried about her understanding, and that she finds transitions difficult sometimes, they said she loves imaginary play and role play, and that she has a variety of friends at nursery, she also sometimes struggles doing more then 1 instruction at a time sometimes
