Afraid 13 month old becoming a fussy eater

My son has always been a good eater. I never had any issues with him when I started weaning him at 6 months and he took to solids well. He has rice as his main carb source and lentils and veggies as well. But for the last 1 week he has stopped eating rice and I offered him foods that he can eat by himself. But he only eats food which is sweet in nature like green peas, corn, berries and grapes. He then had a fever on Wednesday and since then will eat only yogurt, fruits and veggie chips. He won't even take porridge or bread. Is this just a phase or is he turning into a fussy eater? Should I keep offering him various food options if he doesn't like what I give him? I know babies won't starve themselves but he simply won't eat something he doesn't like. He will fill up on milk instead. He hasn't had any vegetable since the last 4 days and am beginning to get concerned.

It's a phase. Just keep offering him a meal which includes all the things you want him to eat and don't make a fuss or over-encourage.

No veg for four days won't be an issue OP. One of mine ate nothing but cucumbers and pasta for a month or more when she was a toddler.

She's 11 now and the tallest girl in her class...athletic and fit.

Thank you. I guess I am a little paranoic about having a fussy eater Grin

the thing is ALL toddlers are "fussy eaters"

Don't label him. Consider him a constantly changing entity whose personality is not yet formed.
