My son is 6 weeks old and has been exclusively breast fed since he was a few days old after discovering he was reacting badly to formula he lost more weight than he should've because it went straight through him and he wasn't getting any nourishment from it (he was always going to be breast fed but I wasn't producing enough milk after he was born due to severe dehydration and blood loss after his birth so he was on formula and breast milk for the first 4 days of his life) his poos have turned green again like they were when he was on formula and I'm worried MIL has given him formula as she formula fed both of her children and doesn't believe babies can be allergic/ react badly to formula -I've done some research and it says it could be something to do with my diet also- but I'm worried about asking if MIL has given my son formula as we're not on speaking terms since she gave my son colic medication without asking or telling me, is there any way to check if he's had formula, I have arranged a doctors appointment for tomorrow as my son seems fine (formula caused stomach upset- excessive crying and constipation) he hasn't shown any usual signs. I'm not sure if it is normal for his poos to be green or not, just looking for a bit of advice. HV is coming over on Wednesday as well to weigh and check him over

Green poo sounds normal to me. My DD was EBF til 6 weeks, then combination fed until 12 weeks and then FF from then on. Her poos massively varied in colour from one day to the next. If he's not in any other discomfort I wouldn't be concerned about this and definitely don't think it necessarily means he has had formula. baby poo changes all the time
