So my daughter with be 3 in a couple of months, been fairly relaxed with the approach to toilet training. Start of this week on the advice of her nursery I have gone straight from pull ups to pants in the day time. Prior to this week she has done a wee on the toilet many times but only when she decides she wants to. She loves wearing the pants, obviously she's had quite a few accidents at nursery but I'm trying to just power through in the hope that she gets it.
The issue is she will do a wee in her pants and have absolutely no issue with it at all, will just sit there wet until I notice. She does know how to hold it, is aware of when she needs to go because on occasion she will tell me she needs a wee or will run to the toilet. Often she will run to the toilet, do nothing in the toilet but then a minute late will stand a wee herself.
Not quite sure how to deal with this as it's not like being wet is doing anything to make her think to use the toilet instead. I've tried stickers, bribery, allsorts! I also remind and ask her to go to the toilet every ten to fifteen minutes but she's so strong willed she just won't do it unless she wants to.
Any words of wisdom? Or tips/ideas?!
