My baby is nearly 6 months old and I have just started her once a day on a little spoonful of baby porridge. She's taken to it really well and I'm going to keep this up for a few weeks so she gets used to it. I'm just wondering once the porridge stage is over... what are your routines in terms of still having a bottle? Should they have the same amount of milk and stil be going every 3 hours between bottles? How quickly should I start introducing other puréed baby meals?
So many questions! If anyone could let me know their early weaning routine or advice for once the porridge stage is over that would be great thanks Smile

At that age you can introduce other foods fairly quickly so no need to give only porridge. Keep milk the same as food is about new tastes and textures not to fill them up

And from 6 months you can give finger foods and mashed rather than pureed foods

Milk should still be the main source of nutrition until at least age one. You might find it easier/less time consuming just to give her little bits of whatever you're eating. You don't even necessarily need special baby porridge... Just normal porridge will do. It's just about exploration at this stage.
