I prefer to use the horsewhip on mine.

SweetyDarling Thu 05-Jul-07 14:50:05

No, we just beat the children but blame the nanny!

Marina Thu 05-Jul-07 14:50:54

fullyqualifiedbollockogist Thu 05-Jul-07 14:54:17

I smack my kids and I am fully qualified

JodieG1 Thu 05-Jul-07 14:54:18

I'm working class and don't smack. I don't think it's anything to do with class though as plenty of middle class seem to think it's ok.

Peachy Thu 05-Jul-07 14:55:08

IS reton school a posh one then Cod? I thought Eton was the pinnacle?

The MC ones leave it to their staff they wouldn't sirty their hands themselves

I suspect the WC admit it more often. And there probably are sociological explanations such as most MC famillies have 2 working parents (am looking at the very poor end of wc here) so are not around as much and are able to facillitate other methods, access support or just have lower stress levels

but mostly i think they just keep quiet

Not all working class people are like that just as not all middle class are the way I've heard them described.

mylastrolo Thu 05-Jul-07 15:01:20

And if the working classes do smack!! what do others do smile politely whilst their spoilt brat won't get off the slide/swing thingy that other kids are lining up for!!! I tell you the arrogance of some people, don't get me started.

Peachy Thu 05-Jul-07 15:01:56

i'd like a charming semi permanent tattoo so as to try out membership of selcet lower sociological grouping whilst retaining my ability not to ofend middle class mothers helping my class read at school in theior boden cardi's

sure I heard that at Asda yesterday
