Daughter won't wear clothes

My daughter age six has some very strange behaviour quirks but this latest one is causing problems. She refuses to wear any clothes, everything feels rubbish and apparently all her tops "show her boobs". Her clothes are just normal clothes - tops, leggings, dresses and they've been fine before. Is this just some weird phase? We are at our wits end, our weekends are spent stuck indoors because we can't get any clothes on her!

Thankfully she's ok with school uniform.

Is it because she doesn't like the feel of them OP? Sometimes wearing them inside out or trying seam free clothing can help if it's a sensory issue.

The comment about her bobs is a bit concerning at 6. Has she got anything like boobs?

What other quirks are you dealing with?

No she hasn't got boobs and the tops don't show anything, they're just normal necklines.

She also runs and washes herself if I have to touch her for any reason eg brushing her hair, cutting her nails.

She scratches her hands til they bleed.

Her behaviour at home is really aggressive and naughty.

She sounds very anxious OP, hace you spoken to your GP and her school?

The clothes this coukd be a sign of ASD or could be low self esteem depending on whether it’s how the clothes feel or how she thinks they make her look Thanks

Sounds strange. A little like ocd. Has her Escher or school eve had any concerns with her?

Sorry lovely I didn't quite understand your post. We are going to talk to the school this week- she attacked me today when I was trying to get clothes on her, I can't cope alone anymore x

Sorry autocorrect. What I meant to say was have her teachers ever mentioned behavioural issues at school or is this only at home?

I don't know about the boobs comment but my son needs all clothing labels cut out of his clothes because he finds them painful. (He's 17 now so does this himself now but I've been doing it since he started cutting them out with scissors age 5 ish? )

Have you changed washing powder? I don't have eczema but hate the feeling of some washing powders. (The highly fragrances ones are the worst so plain bio stuff here)

School haven't had any probs (although she's in a class of 33 so chances are they wouldn't notice). Haven't changed washing powder either.

Following the mention of ocd, I looked it up and the parallels are frighteningly similar. She obsesses over bad things happening like one of us dying or a fire breaking out. She has to have things just so in her room before she will settle at night, the scratching herself and redoing her hair over and over. It's got to be that. I'm going to see if school can refer us for some support.

Heres what I reckon, you could 1. Force her, may seem like a bad idea at the time but its not the worst thing you could do. Or, alternatively, 2. Just dress up in brand new Damien Creamer merchandise its fun, comfortable and is DTF with the kids! I wouldnt recommend the hats though, theyre bleeding massive. Meant to fit a size "Fathead"
