My 4month old is really taking it out on me 😫! She doesnt settle, feed, go to sleep, bum change or anything for anyone apart from me or my sister!! My sister doesnt live with us so its not a break for me at all. My partner gets so upset because she just wont bother with him at all for thr past 2 month. I cant eat, pee, shower or anything without a cry. She hasnt yet learnt how to roll over because she gets so upset and angry when shes on her tummy. Im going back to work in 3 month and my mam will be looking after and im so worried cos the baby goes beetroot and holds her breath when she cries without me 😪.

Has anyone got any advice? I just want to be able to put her down for 5 mins while i cook or clean and most of all for my baby to be happy. Please help!

Rather than putting her down, I'd actually go the other way and hold her more. It might seem counterintuitive but if she feels safe and secure with you, she is more likely to make those bonds with others.

I found using a sling helped as it frees up your hands so you can get on with other stuff.

One thing that might help her settle with her DF is to use a T-shirt he has worn as the sheet in her crib.

If your Mam is having her, do you go to their house a lot? Have you had any practice runs yet? If not I'd start by maybe leaving her with them but just leaving the room for 5 minutes.

Playing peekaboo might help too

If you need a break, can your DS take her out? I know she might be upset but could he take her out for a walk or drive at nap time? Could he take her swimming tomorrow?
