Reflux?

Hello I hope Iv posted in the right area, I have a 7week old who I think has silent reflux but it doesn't seem to cause her much discomfort, she seems to swallow back and forth and sometimes chokes, could it be this? Can I do anything to help?

Reflux usually causes awful discomfort. Can you explain a bit more about why you think it's reflux and what's going on?

Reflux is common and causes no discomfort - I think 80% of babies reflux. What you are describing is GERD (informally called reflux which is confusing!). If in no discomfort and putting on weight fine and breathing normally, no need to worry:)

My son had silent reflux and I started giving him probiotics which helped immensely. I think it helps breakdown the acid in the tummy. I used Optibac and Biokult. Its worth a try and you can give it to them from birth.
My son was also combi fed and I changed his formula to Nannycare goats milk which is easier broken down as well.

Dr gave me omoprezole for him at 6 weeks old but after researching the drug I didnt want him on it so after trying the above and an osteopath he was medication free after 2 weeks.

@blindeirish funny you say that. I've been using Optibac with my little boy but taking it myself to pass on to him through my breastmilk. However I'm not sure how effective it's being. So tonight I gave him some in a bottle of expressed milk at bedtime. Will be interesting to see how he goes tomorrow! I was also thinking bout putting him on Omeprazole but after reading your comments I think I will wait and see it directly Opribac works first - many thanks.
