Newborn cry has changed

On Sunday I noticed my 4 week old had symptoms of reflux...crying when taking more than 120ml milk, posseting and cough/hiccups. Started feeding sitting up then upright 30 mins after feed. Discussed with health visitor on Monday and started on infacol on Tuesday. Baby now taking 150ml again and had 180ml tonight without issue.

Since Thursday night his cry has changed, not just in relation to his food. He usually cries when getting his nappy changed and even then notice it sounds a bit whiny at the end now, maybe a bit hoarse too. No symptoms of a cold, he's taking his milk fine and generally content otherwise. This cry sounds like he's in pain unlike his previous cry but don't know why. He isn't crying anymore often than before. Any thoughts? FTM.

If he's taking his milk and not crying anymore than usual, I'd just keep an eye on him but not worry?

Is he meeting his milestones and bright and alert at times?

Yeah he's alert and interested in what's around him. I stopped his infacol tonight incase it was related, so will see how he is. So aware of all his wee changes, maybe just read too much into them.
