Hello Everyone,
I’m just after a bit of advice i’m a first time Mum and I’m worrying myself and would love to know if anyone has experienced anything similar?
My DS is 24months, he babbles and makes noise all day and parrots everything I say. He knows around 250+ words, mainly things to label such as train, lamp, car, up, wow etc. Some he says clearly, others not so much. He is not putting sentences together yet, which worries me however over the last couple of days he has said “sit down” “red car” “more drink” “oh dear” I just feel he labels things rather than starting to say meaningful phrases?
When I ask him for example: do you want a drink, yes or no? He will reply “yes or no” and points to the item he wants.
I’m worrying myself silly as some of my friends have LO a few months younger and they are talking in sentences already. I talk to him all day and we read loads of books I just feel like something is wrong.
Sorry for the rambling, basically I was just wanting to know if anyone else’s 2 year old is still parroting what you say, is not saying meaningful phrases/sentences and or struggles with or repeats yes/no questions?
TIA
