10 month old waking at night

My little boy was a great sleeper but for the last week or so he's waking up every single night at exactly the same time (roughly just after midnight). His routine is that I have him in bed by 8pm and he used to sleep right through until 7am.
But now he wakens at 12 or so and is wide awake. I usually have to put him into bed with me to try and get him back to sleep because he just continuously screams in his room.
But even when I put him into my bed he stays wide awake until about 2.30am then he's back awake again at 6am.

He still has 2 naps in the day. One in the morning for about 1hr and then the afternoon for 1hr 30mins. Should I cut out a nap out??? Or why is he waking up like this. It's extremely frustrating

I'm pretty sure there's a sleep regression around this age. Can't recommend reading about it enough as a lot of articles have tips of how to deal with it and come out the first other side.

In terms of naps, if he's still having decent stretches then he probably still needs them. If he doesn't seem tired for his morning nap and can stay up for a couple more hours then try one nap more so in the middle of his day. If he is able to have one longer nap rather than two shorter ones maybe he is ready but that's completely down to how you feel his naps are going at the moment Smile

Does he have anything that he uses for comfort in bed like a dummy, comforter or blanket? If not it can be good to introduce one as it will help him to soothe himself when he wakes or when you leave him in his cot to go off to sleep.

Good luck Thanks
