I'm getting worried about my DD who is 11 weeks.
Up to about 3 weeks old we religiously did tummy time. Then she started suffering with colic and reflux and I just didn't know the 'right time' to do it with her. I didn't want to do it after a feed because she'd spit up a lot, she used to fall asleep quite quickly after a feed so I didn't want to wake her up and then by the time she was waking up for her next feed and I'd changed her nappy etc I felt like it would distress her.
Anyway long story short we didn't do tummy time as much, now we've got control over reflux I've started doing it religiously again but I feel like I've set her back.
At the minute she can turn her head side to side with her face completely off the floor. She can support her head if we hold her under her arms or carry her so her stomach is on your chest.
We've tried tummy time with one of the 'specific' tummy time pillows, a feeding pillow, changing mat, blanket on the floor and on my chest.
Should she be able to lift her head up more? So her chin would be parallel with the floor?
Thanks X
