3 year old holding wee in for too long.

Of course, we have a potty that we take everywhere. It’s kept in the boot of the car to take out (obviously we clean it out when it’s been used)

She doesn’t like the big toilet yet. She has global developmental delay and struggles to climb on and off the toilet at the minute.

Are you actually using a potty whilst out and about? Perhaps she wants to go on a toilet. 3 is an age where they're becoming aware of not seeming like babies.

Also is she drinking enough?

DD has just turned 3. Up until a month or two or so ago she wasn’t potty trained. She’d often just wee whenever and wherever she felt like. Over the summer holidays we literally just put her into pants and hoped the best. She become fully potty trained at home and now over the last 2 or 3 weeks has been dry while out and about. But..

When she’s out and about I think she may be holding t for too long as she doesn’t want to use the potty. Today she didn’t go for a wee before pre-school this afternoon. She remained dry for the whole time and whilst picking DS up. She did a big wee when she got home so she clearly needed to go. The other day she stayed dry for 6 hours whilst we were out and refusing to use the potty and waited until we got home.

She isn’t confident using it whilst out. Any tips on how to over come this little phobia? Or just let it be? Is it bad to hold it for this long?
