DS (7.7) has searched for ‘nakid girls (sic)’, ‘picturs of nakid girls’ and ‘no pants’ on YouTube. Thankfully I do have safe search enabled so he wasn’t able to find anything and I do know it is just natural curiosity since we talked about how babies are made and they have started doing PSE in school.
I don’t want to make him feel ashamed or embarrassed but do want to make sure he is protected from the worst stuff, and discourage him from doing those kinds of searches. I supervise as much as I can and have restricted mode on but is there anything else I need to be doing RE restricting access and how would you talk to a child this age about objectification of women etc?
