Hi all
I need some advice/opinion/suggestion regarding my 2 year old(appologies if the subject has been discussed before);long story short for the past 6 month I am having issues with his meals meaning he barely eats anything,he is always fussy, turning his head around and refusing food(except bananas and sometimes fish fingers and chips or maybe pizza, all home made);hv said it is just a period but he lost 700 gr in 5 weeks and I am starting to become paranoid;he is very active, smart,no temperature or any simptoms that shows he may be sick but he lives with a small amount of food daily and I do not know what to do anymore.
Any advice would be a great help.
Many thanks in advance

I am the cook of the family, and my kids enjoy eating finger foods. So I come up with an idea to make healthy finger foods. They love my sweet potato tots.Try to be creative:) I hope this comment could help you.

Belive me I tried everything:books, internet, advice like yours, nothing works.
He used to eat extremely well at breakfast now even this is a challenge.
All he eats without a struggle is bananas.
We had another baby 3 months ago thought this may be the reason but we paid more attention to him now more than ever as we did not wanted him to feel any different(he is acting out a bit to be fair)
What worries me is the loss of weight.
We'll take tour advice and try to be more creative maybe it will work.
Many many thanks.

It's sounds like he never complains of feeling poorly. But I wonder if it is worth a coeliac test- it can present unusually in kids. im wondering if subconsciously he may associate food with feeling 'off' whereas bananas are known to be a safe food. May be worth checking?!!!

Never thought about coeliac pb but will definitely check it out.
I will ask my gp or hv,again, for a blood test and a reference to a specialist(hope his weight loss is enough concern for them).
Many thanks for the heada up
