Early Years Assessment Scale

I've just had a report back from pre-school for my DC, can anyone help me with it?

Using the standard U.K. early years scale he's listed as emerging or developing at all skills, but for an age bracket he exceeded 6 months ago.

Can anyone shed some light on that? Should I be querying a developmental delay?

If you’re worried OP, I’d book in and talk to the Keyworker and ask if they have any concerns.

So he's say 56 months old, and is getting emerging / developing on the 30-50 months? That is something I'd certainly want to talk to the keyworker about, but I wouldn't just think about the report, do you have any other concerns, and start thinking about those.

They can't base it on your childs age, just on their ability. No matter how old they are if they can't do or perform the skills

I used this to make sure my daughter was doing okay. It might help you?

Maybe speak to her preschool about what he needs help with and what you can do at home to make sure that he is working on what he should be.
