At what age should I be concerned that baby can’t hold her head up?

My DD is now 4 months old (well slightly over) and she still can’t hold her own head up
All of my other DC have been very fast with everything in the baby stage (my 3rd was crawling by now 😳) so I’ve never really got to the stage of worrying whether they’re developing properly, but all of my others have been overdue and big babies, DD was slightly early and very small so I’ve been told smaller babies take longer to do things?
She is trying to roll now but gets stuck because she can’t lift her head

So at what stage would it become a concern that she can’t hold her own head properly do you think?

6 months. I had similar worries at 4 months for my v small ds too. He was much stronger by 6-7 months and in fact an early crawler. See your GP in the meantime if you still are worried.

Oh thankyou user I thought this thread had fell down the back of the bookshelf
Very reassuring that your baby was also small and took his time, all the babies in my family are massive so I don’t really have anyone I could ask
Thank you
