What time do your kids go to bed?

Just wondered what other parents do.

DS aged 7 starts getting ready for bed around 7pm, bath/shower etc. He is usually in bed by or before 7.30pm and has story time, cuddle and song and goes to sleep. Usually all asleep by 8pm. At weekend I let him stay up a little later to watch Dr Who.

Lots of other parents seem to have later bedtimes for their kids. DS hasnt complained about bedtime being 7.30 and goes to bed when asked.

DD's (2 and 4) go at about 7.
DS2(7) is suppose to be in bed by 8 for story but i normally fail to be organised enough to manage it!
DS1 (10) is then meant to go at 8.30.
Most of the time at the moment they both go at 8.30.
DS1 says he wants to stay up later because all his friends do!

my ds (just 7) goes to bed any time between 7.30 and 8.00 depending on how tired he seems and what we have to do the next day. Some nights he reads by himself after stories - on those nights it's more like 8.00.

dd 4 is always in bed by 7.30, sometimes 7 again depending on how tired.

DS#1 who is 10, lights out at 9.
DD who is 8, lights out at 7.30.
DS#2 who is 4, whenever he feels like it usually but he's normally asleep by 9. That will change when he's at school.

We tend to relax at the weekends a bit more.

5yo DD - school nights, goes to bed about 7:30 and asleep by 8pm. Sometimes a bit earlier and sometimes slightly later but not much. Weekend are very different and can be a lot later depending on where we are and what we are doing. But we are very lucky as if DD goes to bed late she gets up late too.

Contentious issue in my house ATM.

DD1 supposed to be in bed at 9 (aged 12) but she will not go to sleep. Sometimes she is still awake at 11 and it drives me mad (Did I mention her 'habit' of walking into mine and DH's bedroom? I think she's on patrol..)
DD2 goes at 7pm (aged 3) has story, goes straight to sleep BUT can wake up at 5.30am. Actually awoke at 4.30 the other day, and firing on all cylinders.

Damn these Summer daylight hours.

DD 2 who is 3 is a bit of nightmare, goes to bed the same time as her sister but rarely goes to sleep at the same time.

DS 6 1/2 at 7.30-8.00pm but we are trying to get him to sleep until 7 in the mornings so are still playing about with bedtime. He used to sleep 7 to 7 but recently strted waking everyone up at 6 so we are still experimenting with how much sleep he actually needs.

DD aged 4 goes to bed at 7 and is usually asleep within 10 mins and has often to be woken up at 7 on a school morning

ds is 4 dd is 1.4

we all aim to go up to the bath together by 7 (7.30 at the latest)

both have 2-3 stories on ds's bed; ds has drink of milk
ds is left to go to sleep 8pm on a school night, 8.30pm other nights.

dd then comes back downstairs for her bf and a bit of a play - she seems to get a second wind at this time and i really enjoy a bit of time on my own with her.
dd goes to bed 9 - 9.30pm

At weekends - lights out 9pm, usually up between 8 and 8.30am.

ds,7yrs-lights out at 8pm.up at 7am(will sleep til 7:30/7:45 at wkends even though we always put them 2 bed same time in week and weekend)

dd1,5yrs-7:30pm lights out.wakes 7am

dd2.3yrs-7pm lights out.wakes 7:30

I always put my kids 2 bed at the same time in the week and weekend.I love my kids 2 bits but I need my alone time in the evening.

I stagger the bedtimes so i get some one on one with each child. its tiring as it means it takes longer but i think its great.bathtime for all is 6:15.then they sit and have milk.I take 3yr old and read a story put to bed(2 oldest watch t.v. quietly) then do 5yr old then 7yr old.it means they get 15mins of my undivided attention

DS1 aged 11 goes to bed about 8.30 but no particular time for lights out, always asleep by about 9.30

DS 2and3 aged 7 and 4 go up at 8ish in bed for 8.30ish. Our only real rule is that once they are in bedroom thats it no coming back down, but lights out is up to them. It seems to work, they are both usually asleep before 9
