When do u start teaching children boundaries around sexuality ?

I.e that no one should touch them there and so on

I’m paranoid that my mil thinks it’s okay to tickle private of my baby and I wanna explain the boundary to her politely . As I don’t think this should even be done to a newborn.. she does it innocently but I believe boundaries is important and I don’t like normalising this behaviour ....

As in... if baby was crying, she might tickle him down there to make him smile ... can’t go into details

In my experience, this usually crops up around the time of potty training. Many boys end up fiddling with their willy so you have to tell them not to do that in front of people. grin With my dd it naturally cropped up when she developed a bit of a nudist streak. (She'd wander around in pants or naked at home)

Your mil going for genitals rather than somewhere more common like feet, under chin etc is just strange. Could you say that he's more ticklish in a different spot and hope she switches?
