Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone out there had a baby who was late meeting developmental milestones - and what happened in the long term? Did they go on to be fine in school/adulthood or were there longer term issues?
I have a 17 month old who doesn’t crawl or walk or talk at all. He can sit up and has started slightly bum shuffling but can’t roll over or sit himself up if he falls over. He is like a much younger baby and hasn’t really developed at all since he started sitting up about 6 months ago. He can’t bear any weight on his legs and refuses to pull up. Nobody seems worried except me. I’ve done lots of googling and there are lots of people saying that their children didn’t walk and talk until 2 so I guess it must be normal but I wondered about the longer term. People say he is just lazy but isn’t that a bad thing?
