Please tell me someone else has had this experience and it is normal. I just walked into the kitchen to find my ds2 aged 5 had locked his brother (7) in the utility room, had weed into one of those plastic lolly maker things and told his brother to drink it. They had just been fighting and I was trying to ignore them. DS 2 probably needs more attention or something. Anyone with similiar experiences or ideas of how to deal with this behaviour?

Check your freezer now to make sure he hasn't frozen any for later!

Ds has drunk his own urine before.

Thankfully Ds1 has got far more refined taste than to drink his brother's wee. Will check the freezer though. Just talked to DS2 about why he did it and he said he was just 'bursting to go!!' He was cross that I had thrown the lolly thing away!!

Mine drink it diluted with bath water all the time. YUK! [where is that vomit smiley when you need it?]

No advice i'm afraid it's more than likely a phase, but I used to feed my younger brother alsorts of things such as shaving foam mixed together and squished up snails, around the same age as your ds also. I was a nasty piece of work but grew out of it & now adore him

Phew am so glad you all think it is so funny! I was worried it was some deep-seated psychological problem. Will check the ice-cubes before I pour myself a Pimms in the future though

Do not under any circumstances take DS2 up on his offer of an apple ice lolly. Or a lemon snowcone.

ROFL @ this thread Reminds me of shit sticks.. a game me and my sister used to play which involved sticking small sticks in dog poo and lobbing them at eachother!

urine is actually sterile.. some people drinkit for health... your ds is obviously into alternative health

awen, did you ever try it with dried cowpats? they frisbee!

Sounds perfectly normal to me, growing up with 3 older sisters and a younger brother there's not much one of us hasn't eaten at one point or another.

I nearly got my bro to eat a slug by telling him it was a part of the leaf...until the little fecker moved and ruined it

I am so glad I shared it with you as he does all kinds of things like this. I have obviously taken them far too seriously in the past. Now we can lighten up a bit in the knowledge that MN think it's all normal behaviour

Excellent. A future rugby player in the making. DH tells me that drinking one's own urine is a common passtime post match (and post 10 pints I expect).

seriously though, don't think it would do much harm, wouldn't taste nice though so I doubt DS1 would do it again!

I'm now really wondering what it deos taste like. Not enough to ever find out, though.
