Aggressive 3 year old boy

3 yr old DS is hitting, throwing, and spitting.

It seems to come out of nowhere - he can be sitting reading a book with me, then suddenly stand up and swing his hand right into my face.

It’s mainly aimed at me, a bit at DH. No complaints from Nursery about him being rough with anybody else.

He laughs as he hits me and when I try to discuss it with him later he laughs again.

I’ve tried time outs, confiscating his favourite toys, talking to him about how it makes me sad, I’ve tried to ignore it, tried shouting (tbh that was more losing my temper not a real strategy), but nothing seems to help.

Any advice?

(By throwing I mean he throws toys directly at my face. Hot wheels cars bloody hurt).

Hey! I don't have any answers for you but just wanted to say I have a 3yo DD who is exactly the same! And I have tried everything the same as you, even the shouting in anger! Today has been horrendous. Just wanted to let you know you aren't alone xx
