my previously very well behaved DD1 has entered the bum bum phase. everything is bum bum this, poo poo that or botty burp (often followed by one and hoots of laughter)

i have tried ignoring it
i have tried telling her off

now today she kept doing moonies

how should i handle this??

DD1 (19m) also said "poo" today. great, she is just learning to talk and is copying her sister already.

ignore it and she will get bored of it eventually

ignoring it means ignoring completely or else dont bother ignoring at all!

i know, you're right, it is just so hard. i am glad i don't smack - i would be doing it all the time atm.
but what about the moonies?
i can't really just ignore those!

I would just tell her in a matter of fact voice (but an order not a request) to pull her trousers up...

if she doesnt then pick her up, and pull them up for her, without reacting.... should it continue then sit her on the step (or whatever else you do) and she can apologise and come back to play when shes going to do it nicely....

if you REALLy cant ignore it! 3 year olds do get bored quite quickly!

ok... will give 100% ignoring it a go.
