At 4.5 months I had my dd weighed and she was 19lb 2 oz. she is very long and is a little chubby but definitely not over weight looking. She feels very solid and heavy but is very strong so am not sure if it is just muscle combined with being tall? How much did your dds weigh at 4.5 months?

My DS is 12 months and weighs 17lbs so not a very useful comparison, sorry. Have you looked at the centile chart and compared her height (length) and weight? That will give you a better idea of how heavy she is in relation to her length.

Weight is pretty irrelevant. As dont says, it’s much more useful to see if she’s following her centiles Smile

Thanks guys. She started off on 50tg percentile then dropped to 25th for a while due to a number of feeding/tongue tie problems then had her tongue tie snipped and since then has just rocketed through the percentiles and is now on the 98th. It’s as though she’s making up for it after having been so hungry and skinny in the beginning! She just doesn’t look like she’s overweight at all but she definitely feels it and is shooting through the percentiles x

Well someone’s has to be at the top of the centiles and if she’s in proportion, I’m sure she’ll be fine. My DN has been on the 98th for height and weight for a long time. She’s in High School now and there’s not an ounce of fat on her. Mind you, she does do tonnes of sport.
