22 month year old refusing fluids and throwing a tantrum.

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced their child suddenly refusing fluids after a virus? We’ve really struggled to get our 22month old son to drink much over the last few days. We’ve tried to increase his fruits but he’s just pushing his cups away and screaming as soon as he sees them. Obviously this has hasn’t helped his constipation issues at all. He has some sensory issues and has always refused ice pops too which I’ve read can help get fluids into reluctant toddlers. He really suffered from reflux when he was a baby and I’m wondering if too much fruit has possibly irritated him too.

Will he have juice (rather than plain water)? When mine were very small I used to syringe fluids into their mouths if I was worried they weren't getting enough.

Have you tried him with high water foods like soup, jelly, cauliflower and brocolli?
