2.5 year old DD still in cot?

DD is 2 and a half and still sleeping in her cot. Is this bad?

We did try her in a toddler bed a little while ago but she didn’t like it much so we went back to the cot. Toddler bed in spare room at the minute ready to try again..

We haven’t tried again yet. Mainly because both me and DP are both too exhausted at the end of the day to be up and down all night. He works long days and I’m a home all day with DD and DS - who has special needs. DS takes forever to go sleep in himself and usually ends up in our bed. If DD she sleeps in her cot all night happily, do I need to rush her into a bed?

DS hated his cot and was in a bed at 13 months so the complete opposite.. lol 🤣

She sleeps, she’s happy and presumably still fits. I wouldn’t worry Smile

My son is 2 next week and I have no intention of moving him anytime soon. If he ever tries to climb out I’ll re evaluate but at the moment cot and sleeping bag are working for us (touches every piece of available wood...)

We kept them all in cots until over 3 - suited us and suited them! So far (and they're much older now), they don't seem to have been damaged by it!

Should have added that, like a PP, they were all in cosy sleeping bags, and were not dry at night, so no need to get up to use the toilet/potty.

Thanks all. I won’t rush her into a bed just yet then! ☺️
