Behaviour/development

At my wits end

I'm seriously struggling with my daughter's behaviour. She literally cries all the time when she doesn't get her own way. She cries when she has to go to bed. She cries when she can't have a packed lunch for whatever reason for school etc. Even cries when she's not allowed to go have tea at her friends house.
Now, when I say crying, I mean, she does this loud droaning noise. On purpose. This is every day. She will cry at least once every day. It's got the point where I'm literally walking out in tears (leaving the kids with my partner). I feel like I'm failing miserably as a mother.
My worry is that the neighbours will ring the police and/or social services about it and I will get into trouble for either the noise or the fact she's crying all the time. She's almost 6yo and knows better than to do this. She knows right from wrong. I just don't understand why she's doing it and what I can do to help stop this behaviour. I get that kids cry. But not like this.

Have you tried a behaviour chart, I got it from the range and some star stickers, you can write on there listening, no crying etc and at the end of each day if she’s good she gets a sticker. She may cry if she doesn’t get a sticker but hopefully when she gets the first few she’ll learn. Or even try a calendar with opening doors, I know normally for Xmas but if the stickers don’t work then put a little something in the calendar doors and she gets to open one if she’s been good. She may learn quick. Alternatively no book at bedtime or no pudding etc defo works for my son.

I feel for you. We have a similar thing will our 5yo girl she just screams and shouts for the same reasons yours does. It is so hard and i pretty much do the same as you....put her in her bedroom and walk away i go make myself a cuppa and talk to myself generally asking myself why me!
I get the whole failing as a mother thats me too....but i dont think the kids see it like that.

Keep going and fingers crossed they grow out of it soon xx
