I'm after some help and advice.
My baby will be 6 weeks on Thursday and has started to scream during feeding time. He's so hungry and crys until I put bottle back in and after two gulps he's screaming and milk is sprayed out. He's such a greedy baby and has gained weight beautifully but this last week has been awful.
I changed his bottles to dr browns two days ago and his formula to sma to apitmal because he was so constipated and his poop had turned dark green and sticky. How long will a change in formula help?
Should I use aptimal comfort? I'm desperate for some help. I don't feel like he will even smile because he's so unhappy then screams when he's awake exhausts himself and goes back to sleep again :-( we use infacol which brings up wind well. He is very trumpy baby also.
Just any advice or help!?! Is this silent reflux ? He is never sick just small spit up sometimes.
Also this never happens at night he drinks all 4/5oz and goes to sleep.

I tried Aptimal comfort after much trial and error with other formulas for my very upset colicky son and wish I had tried it straight away settled his tummy and wind straight away as it is easier to digest, I didn’t find infacol or gripe water worth a hoot tbh. If this doesn’t ease anything doctor would have to diagnose was it something else making him in pain or something like that, try the comfort milk, poor we man. Good sign he wasn’t a to eat so I wouldn’t see it as greed maybe he has reflux and the milk is the only thing that’s easing it hence why he is gulping

My only concern with changing formula is that I literally did this three days ago. And if I change it again will this upset him or because it's still aptkaml does it not matter? I don't want to upset him even more 😩

Changing from cows milk to another cow milk formula should not upset his tummy as the Health visitor informed me at the time. I changed from normal aptimal to the aptimal comfort within a few days there was a big improvement, just introduce the new formula maybe a few bottles and a time and work your way up to being fully on the comfort milk. Personally if after the first bottle he was settling better I would just use it from then on but you will know best

We had underweight premature twins and they used aptimil but the constipation caused them to cry as their poo was infrequent, we used a cotton woolbud with vaseline to ease their arse a couple of times, and the poo fired out and as they gained weight it solved itself, its a long road but it fixes itself as they get bigger, you have my sympathy its heartbreaking

I was hoping he apitmal would help the constipation as I read lots of forums saying sma caused it and aptimal will helps.. he
Did poo twice first day on aptimal but nothing on day two.. he's actually not constipation as his poo is runny but he has he worst time just getting it out.. he goes burgundy he pushes so hard! And his farts absolutely stink!!! 🤢
