I didn’t get to finish my post Don’t no what happened. So he’s brill most of the time, until we get to meal times, these are my most stressful parts of the day. From the minute we sit down, he messes about, flicks his cutlery around, uses his fingers, bangs the table, dances, sings, anything to try and get out of eating his dinner or distract me and himself in some way. I’ve tried everything I can think of. Thank you in advance

Star chart? Ds gets a star for 'eating nicely'. I would tell him politely to sit nicely and then ignore a lot of the messing about. Have you ever just taken his meal away? My dd had her cereal removed after 30 minutes of milk flicking, chair standing and general messing about this morning.

Thank you for the advice. Star charts don’t work l. I don’t want to take his meal away as that’s exactly what he wants I think. I’m going to just ignore it.
