How many of your 4 year old sit down and concentrate at tasks, do yours like and do those kind of activities like crafts, magazines, learning tasks at a table like learning to write

At 4 he started to but not for very long. At 5 this has increased dramatically it he still hates sitting still and wants to be on the go all the time. I think that's just down to personality!

Thank you. All the time it seems like the children you see out and about or you know are just the opposite to yours or something and it makes you doubt yourself all the time. I so wish I just didn't think or care about anyone else

It's so hard not to compare isn't it? But don't worry I think at 4 it's quite normal for a 4 year old to be wriggly and easily distracted. There are those who are a lot more focused but your dc is probably ahead of them in a different area.

Ah thank you. Just feel so alone sometimes. This had made me feel a bit less alone

My 4 years old DD concentrates well at up to the table activities, we need to switch them up though. Like ten minutes on writing, ten minutes on number etc. She has a big sister who she likes to sit with which helps and started school this September at 4 years old and 2 days! Confused
