DS is just three and 99% of the time is a delight. But he has a seriously stubborn streak and nursery are seeing it too.
In their context it comes out as airily refusing to participate in any activity he doesn't fancy, which is not a huge problem at this stage as it's all play based but feels so ingrained in his personality that I worry about learning to manage this before he starts school next year.
It's somehow different to naughtiness (and DH and I are not pushovers of 'pally' parents - we are very clear on expectations for kind / gentle / polite behaviour and he follows those rules beautifully), but I can't put my finger on why.
Does this sound familiar to anyone else?
